ANNOUNCEMENTS
GRAD FASHION SHOW
Immaculata is pleased to present the 28th Annual Graduation Grammys, hosted by our very own 2021 Grads! This event, which usually is held as a fundraising event for our Grad program, will be livestreamed at 7:00pm this Friday, February 26. The link will go live ½ hour before the start of the Grammys. We would like to thank Rod Attwell from Springfield Funeral home for graciously live-streaming this event for us!

Please see the program for performance details. We hope that you will be able to view our production. For those who are unable to view at the live stream time, please note that this event is being recorded and details will be made available as to how to access it later. Please feel free to pass the link on to friends and family members.

Again, a big thank you to all those who made this possible – an incredible thing during COVID.

HEROES IN EDUCATION
It has been a crazy 12 months for the staff, students and parents at Immaculata. The same can be said for all schools – around the world!! The Capital News is doing a feature on the Unsung Heroes in Education and they are looking for nominations. If you feel that a member of the Immaculata staff went above and beyond for your child(ren) over the last 12 months, could you please take a few minutes to submit your 250 word explanation of why this person should be recognized and thanked. Any kind of stories are welcome – whether it’s about sports and school clubs, aiding a student academically, or bringing some joy and fun to a difficult year. All that is asked is that these people went beyond the call of duty.

Deadline: March 17th 5pm

If you’re interested in learning more, please contact Mrs. Brodeur at irhs.ahc@cisnd.ca. Thank you!
HOMESTAYS NEEDED
The International Program is calling all warm, welcoming Immaculata families to consider hosting an International student next fall. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about another culture and show a student the great things about living in Canada. We are particularly in need of families with boys who could host boys in grade 8 – 11. We ask that families speak English at home, and have a spare furnished bedroom that they can offer a student. We ask you to provide students with transportation to and from school as well as meals and snacks. We also ask that you welcome the student into your family and treat him/her as one of your own. We offer tax-free compensation of $925 per month.
ACHIEVEMENTS
SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
The Linus project is trucking along. We have a few squares finished and ready to put into a blanket. We meet "officially" Tuesdays and Thursdays in the LC, but you can find knitters and crocheters now throughout the school in completing pieces in their spare time. What a great project!
LEADERSHIP
ANOTHER VOLUNTEER OPP
The Liturgy Committee at St. Charles Garnier is looking for students who may have an interest in being trained to assist with the live streaming of masses each Sunday. They will be trained, and it is not a complex process as we have recently had “state of the art” streaming equipment installed.
Please CALL the office at
250-762-2730
and leave a recorded message for Mrs. Despins if your child will be absent or late.
It is very important that every student is accounted for when marked away and Mrs. Despins will be calling if she has not heard from you
  • Continued prayers for those affected by Covid-19
  • Lord, our Savior, I give You thanks and praise, For You came to dwell on Earth that all might see, Through Your life, death, and rising, the Father’s love revealed. Amen. heartofthenation.org
