FOOD DRIVE SUCCESS!
Check out the amount of food collected by all our awesome homerooms and staff. This lot will go to St. Vincent de Paul Society’s cupboards to continue to help those in need. Can you see the secret word spelled out with Kraft dinner? Mr. K (who made the display) may have missed his 2nd calling! This food drive is one of our 60 acts of service for our community during our 60th year!
MR. VALENTINE
Mr. Plaxton was in jail on Wednesday until he got 50 petitions/valentines to release him. He WAS St. Valentine that morning.
The story tells that St. Valentine was imprisoned for marrying Christian couples and aiding Christians being persecuted by Claudius in Rome. Both acts were considered serious crimes. A relationship between the saint and emperor began to grow, until Valentine attempted to convince Claudius of Christianity. Claudius became enraged and sentenced Valentine to death, commanding him to renounce his faith or be beaten with clubs and beheaded.
St. Valentine refused to renounce his faith and Christianity and was executed outside the Flaminian Gate on February 14, 269.
Top: How is a math equation a Valentine? Was that you Mr. Witkowski?
Right (or below on mobile): Irrefutable proof that you just can't please everyone. The first note says: Please change the bells (new ones). The second message's author is pretty happy with the new bells!!!
CUPID DELIVERS
Members of student council and "Cupid" were busy during 2nd period, delivering "Crushes, Kisses, and roses" to both students and staff with secret and not so secret friends.
Gorgeous roses. Should have sent myself some!
All I can say is Cooper, you're a trooper!

LEADERSHIP
Calling parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends, remember that the Rooted in Faith prayer group still meets in spite of COVID. We’ve moved our meetings to Zoom. Praying for our school communities (Staff and students) by name each time, and for our families. We are happy to receive special prayer requests and keep them anonymous if you prefer. Meetings last 20 min. Wednesdays at 2pm. Join us, we’d love to have you.
SOME EXCELLENT UNIFORM ROLE MODELS
Remember, next Tuesday (first day of the week) and Wednesday (Mass day) are uniform days. Here are some students rocking the uniform.
Please CALL the office at
250-762-2730
and leave a recorded message for Mrs. Despins if your child will be absent or late.
It is very important that every student is accounted for when marked away and Mrs. Despins will be calling if she has not heard from you
  • Continued prayers for those affected by Covid-19
  • Blessed Virgin, In your gentle holiness, Please join in my prayer For those who are sick. Holy Mary, I come to you, In your closeness to Jesus, Who can heal with just a word. When healing of body or mind is not to be, Please help those who suffer To bear the pain and distress Through hope of redemption and eternal life. Blessed Virgin Mary, you became The Mother of our Lord, And your heart was surely rent To see Him suffer on the cross. For those who are painfully afflicted, Especially when their faith is sorely tested, Please bring comfort, For you are our loving Mother, too. Amen. heartofthenation.org
