ACHIEVEMENTS
A HUGE THANK YOU!
The Immaculata PSG (Parent Support Group) surprised Mrs. Uhrich this week by making a donation to the Legacy Project for the Learning Commons. Mrs. Christina Donick, president of the PSG, brought balloons and a check for $5000.00 to go towards the goal of $22,000.00. PSG: We cannot thank you enough for all you do for our school and especially our kids!

SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS
WE REMEMBERED
We celebrated Remembrance Day in our homerooms, with a zoom meeting with Dr. Jim Wood who spoke to us about military history, and his own experience in the military. Then prayers led by student council, bag pipes, the reading of "In Flanders Fields" followed by a minute of silence, and concluded by pinning our poppies on to classroom crosses.

BIOLOGY 12:

UNIFORM CHECK
Each Monday morning, have a look at yourself in the mirror before you leave for school. First of all – are you wearing the uniform? Are you the wearing the uniform properly? Are you wearing pants / skirt and shirt from Lands End?? Is your hoodie or sweater an Immac one? Is your skirt hemmed to the length of your fingertips, when outstretched against your leg? How about your shoes? Are they sneakers or something a little more uniform-appropriate? Wearing the uniform properly is important and is being monitored by your homeroom teacher. Please follow the rules and get used to wearing the uniform in a professional manner. If you’re unclear about the protocols, check out this link: https://www.immaculatakelowna.ca/uniforms.php
CHRISTMAS TREES NEEDED!
To help ensure a visible reminder of our Saviour’s birth during the Advent and Christmas seasons, the Knights of Columbus councils of Kelowna and W. Kelowna are teaming up with the City of Kelowna to erect the Nativity Scene at Kerry Park (near the Sails on Bernard Ave) on Saturday, November 28. We need Christmas trees for the display. If you have any contacts who may be able to donate Christmas trees (culls are fine!) for this project, please contact Paul S from the St. Charles Knights of Columbus by Nov. 21 at pjaaas@gmail.com. Thank you
GRAD PICTURES

LEADERSHIP
CHRISTMAS FOR THE NEEDY BEYOND OUR BORDERS
Chalice is a Canadian based Catholic international aid charity focused on child, family, and community development. Chalice invites you to share the blessings of Christmas with children in the developing world. The Christmas Gift Catalogue allows you to purchase a gift for someone in need in honour of a friend or a loved one. A beautiful handwritten card will be sent to the recipient, telling them of the gift that has been given. Any gift purchased through the catalogue will receive an official tax receipt. This is the perfect gift for the person who has everything – the gift of sharing with someone who needs everything.  https://online.flippingbook.com/view/73517/8/

If your family is interested in changing the life of another person, please consider sponsoring a child in need. $37 per month will allow the child to go to school, to get proper nutrition and medical attention. You will receive letters and pictures from your sponsored child to keep you up to date on their progress. https://www.chalice.ca/sponsor-a-child-now?search=profile_list&task=search
