Visit Henrietta's home with the Lacks Family, experience exhibits and learn about their work to honor her legacy and efforts with the health care, scientific, advocacy and artistic communities.
Toast Henrietta’s 100th Birthday on August 1 at The Red & Black Soirée to honor her love for family, friends, fun and of course the color red! Then end the weekend on a high note at the Closing “Cell-ebration” Gospel Brunch honoring Henrietta’s soul inspiring legacy and faith.
Young people at Rethink are working to make a world where everyone is safe in their community, has a high quality education and access to healthy food a reality.
In 2019, Rethink's students called "Rethinkers" engaged over 130 youth from New Orleans after a national focus on gun violence to develop a set of demands that exposed the united states of violence. And held a series of student forums called “Students not Suspects” to end the violent treatment of students in our schools. Visit their student led blog site, "Write About Now" to learn more about what's next for this group of young activists.
This month we're thrilled to introduce the newest members of The IRIS Collaborative: JaiSauna, Falasha and Eboneka - who believe in bringing people together to create change. Learn more about our work atirisimpact.org.
