Cybersecurity:
How IRMA is Helping its Members
In response to the bleak outlook for cyber liability insurance, the IRMA Executive Board recommended creating an IT/Cyber Committee (“ITCC”) to examine cyber security and liability issues facing the membership. At the May Committee meeting, the Committee was presented with two vendors to explore to make a part of a preferred provider program to assist members with best practices, training, auditing, and assessing cyber security processes and controls, KnowBe4 and Cyber Concierge. Programs were developed with each vendor at reduced pricing for IRMA members.

IRMA Budget, Member Contributions and Interest Income:
What You Need to Know
The Board of Directors approved the preliminary budget at the October 11th meeting, and the 2023 contribution rate is increasing by 3.0% compared to 2022. The budget increase is attributable, in part, to an increase in the reinsurance market and an increase in members’ revenues. The rate stabilization amount used in the 2023 budget was increased to $1.525 million (compared to $1.1 million for 2022).

The Supervisor - A Key Ally to Workplace Safety
The supervisor is a vital link and key ally to safety on the job, playing a critical role in driving safety success among team members. If not properly aligned with management goals and the message of safety leadership, however, supervision can directly or indirectly contribute to eroding the confidence of team members in the safety process when misalignment between safety and production expectations occur.
