2021 Police Reform Workshop
April 1, 2021
The 764-page Criminal Justice Reform Bill (HB 3653 SA 2) makes sweeping changes in police reform, which will have a measurable impact on policing in the future.
IRMA’s Police Chief's Steering Committee, representing 63 municipal police departments in Northeastern Illinois will host a workshop on the new police reform legislation with experts reviewing various aspects of the legislation. IRMA has engaged labor and employment attorneys, a state's attorney and use of force expert to provide perspective on provisions of the Act that impact employment, prosecutorial and criminal procedure changes and the effect of legislation on use of force.
Join IRMA, its Police Chiefs and other police professionals for a discussion on the police reform legislation that affects not only our police departments and local governments, but the community as well.
