Code Tune Up Class
January 11 & January 18 , 2020 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

The UPC Code Tune Up Class covers the following topics: How to use the UPC Code Book, Fixture Units and sizing for waste and vent, Fixture units and sizing for water, Sizing of gas piping.

Attendees must bring a calculator, pencil, hi-lighters and a 2015 or 2016 UPC Code book with L.A. City Amendments to the class.

New IRS Mileage Rates 

Beginning on January 1, 2020, the standard mileage rates for the use of a car, van, pickup or panel truck will be:

• 57.5 cents per mile for business miles driven (down from 58 cents in 2019)

• 17 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes (down from 20 cents in 2019)

• 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations (currently fixed by Congress)

The website, Labor.ca.gov/EmploymentStatus, is a one-stop shop for info on the ABC test, FAQs and other resources to ensure a smooth implementation of the law.
