IRSA User Survey

IRSA is conducting a user survey! The anonymous survey should take about 5 minutes to complete, and the information will be used to help us understand user needs, combined with feedback from IRSA's User Panel, IRSA's Help Desk, and interactions during meetings of the American Astronomical Society. We are hoping to receive 100 responses before the end of November. Please help us help the community by filling out the survey and spreading the word!

IRSA at the AAS

IRSA will be at the 243rd Meeting of the American Astronomical Society Jan 7-11, 2024 in New Orleans, LA and we would love to talk to you! If you are at the meeting, please stop by and tell us what you like (or don't like!) about our services, ask for a demo, or just say "hi."

eHOPS and SPICY Data Releases

We are pleased to announce the availability of two new datasets.

  • The second data release of Herschel eHOPS, containing many additional fields, is now available.
  • The Spitzer SPICY catalog of ~120,000 candidate YSOs has been released.

Data Collection Explorer Update

The Data Collection Explorer (DCE) now includes BLAST and several more Spitzer Legacy/Exploration Science/Contributed data collections with only image data. More data collections will be added over time, including spectra and light curves.

Spitzer Heritage Archive Update

The Spitzer Heritage Archive has been updated to include the most recent version of Firefly, an open-source, web-based UI library for astronomical data archive access and visualization. The SHA now offers the same data visualization features and tools available in other IRSA applications such as IRSA Viewer.
