Zwicky Transient Facility Data Release 24

The twenty-fourth public data release from the Zwicky Transient Facility contains approximately 69.7 million images, 1043 billion source detections extracted from these images, and 5.32 billion light curves.

SPHEREx Observations of Comet 3I/ATLAS

SPHEREx spectral images of Comet 3I/ATLAS are now available.

SPHEREx Spectrophotometry Tool Update

The SPHEREx Spectrophotometry Tool now includes interactive cutouts of all spectral images used in the spectrophotometry calculation. These cutouts provide a convenient way to verify source positions and assess potential contamination from nearby sources. In addition, the documentation has been updated with expanded guidance on the use and interpretation of flags in the output table.

NASA Fornax Initiative Open Beta Testing

NASA’s Fornax Initiative is now accepting beta users on our Science Console, a JupyterLab environment in the cloud for computing next to NASA astrophysics archival data. Cloud data in the HEASARC, IRSA, and MAST archives can be used directly in the Fornax Science Console, including Euclid, SPHEREx, JWST, Fermi, and others. Users can also import their own datasets within some size restrictions.

The Fornax Science Console can be accessed with a Web browser and contains pre-installed data analysis software plus Jupyter tutorial notebooks for common analysis tasks. Beta users get an account with cloud resource “credits” that can be used for compute, storage, etc. There is no charge to users.

In this beta phase, we are looking for you to inform us about what resources and features the community needs, so if you require anything, please do not hesitate to ask the helpdesk. We can add credits if you have a scientific use case that requires more than our initial estimate, for example. If there is something you need and cannot see how to do, again, please ask. We may know a solution, and if we do not, your input can be added to the list of improvements under development.

ISO SWS Atlas Data Release

The updated ISO SWS Atlas is now available, providing newly reprocessed infrared spectra for all objects observed by ISO's Short Wavelength Spectrometer (SWS).

Data Collection Explorer Update

GOALS, GOT_Cplus, and V838MON have been released through IRSA's Data Collection Explorer (DCE). They were previously accessible through an older interface, and are now integrated into DCE for easier access and discovery.

IRSA Server and System Updates

IRSA has recently migrated to new web servers and completed an operating system upgrade. As we continue final configuration and performance tuning, some users may notice slower response times or intermittent access issues.

Thank you for your patience during this transition. If problems persist, please contact the IRSA Help Desk.
