INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL PTSA NEWS | |
ISPTSA SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS!
Congratulations to this year's International School PTSA Scholarship Winners: Jackson Blunt, Isabella Chu, and Mihir Motukuri!
Each year, ISPTSA awards 3 - $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors for academic excellence.
This year, we were incredibly impressed with all of the student applicants who have all worked hard this year, participated in 100s of hours of activities, and contributed meaningful service to the IS community and beyond. Reviewing applications makes us so proud of our students, but also makes evaluating extremely difficult for our volunteer judges.
We truly appreciate all of our applicants and were consistently impressed by their incredible accomplishments. We wish we could award more scholarships to so many well-deserving students. Questions? Email isptsa-scholarship@isptsa.org.
Sincerely,
ISPTSA Scholarship Committee Chairs
Qiong Chen
Yue Mao
Melissa Richardson.

DÉJEUNER EN BLANC AT INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL!
Déjeuner en Blanc will be TODAY, Monday, June 10, from 1:00 to 3:15 PM. Déjeuner en Blanc is our version of the longstanding, now global tradition of Dîner en Blanc, which started in France in 1990 and is basically a large picnic where everyone wears white.
Our French teachers have been sharing information with students, but we also want to make sure families are aware of the event. Assuming the weather is decent, this will be an outside event. Students will be eating lunch on the upper field followed by a variety of outdoor activities. Nutrition Services will provide their regular offerings, including a special meal featuring baguette sandwiches. Students can also bring their own lunch, preferably picnic-type food and beverages. No personal BBQs are allowed on campus.
To make the event more comfortable and convivial, students can bring small games, blankets, or chairs. Please note that food deliveries will not be accepted, and high school students who usually leave campus to purchase food are encouraged to bring their own food or get lunch from the cafeteria. Students may bring cash if they’d like to purchase French style treats in support of the French Honor Society in charge of organizing the event.
Parents interested in chaperoning the event are invited to email Madame Geslin by Wednesday, June 4.
Participants, wear as much white as you can. While water activities are planned, they will be confined to the lower field.
Bon appétit! Questions? Email Madame Geslin.
