MagVar Software Updates

To ensure accuracy and compliance, it is recommended that airline operators update their MagVar software at regular intervals. Specifically, updates should be conducted at least once every 10 years to account for changes in magnetic variation. Staying current with these updates helps maintain navigation precision and operational safety.

IS&S offers a Eight (8) Day Turn Time Program for the following part numbers:

The IS&S EICAS upgrade adds a center display that is the same part number as the installed FPDS system displays, 2 scan converter modules that plug directly into the CRT connectors with output to EICAS display and Navigation Display (ND) and a modified center cockpit panel with EICAS display mounting plate to ensure a rapid installation. There are minimum training differences as the single IS&S display will display what the current CRT EICAS displays. In the event of an IS&S display failure either one of the two pilot’s ND’s automatically serve as the backup EICAS display.
