Explore Incentives & Opportunities
Thursday, March 17, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
This special online event, organized by the League of Women Voters of Corvallis Housing Committee, will feature a local panel aimed at helping you reduce your home’s energy bills – and your carbon footprint!

Panelists include:

  • Nancy Evenson, Home Retrofit Specialist, Corvallis Sustainability Coalition
  • Julie Williams, Founder and President, Seeds for the Sol
  • Karen Rockwell, Executive Director, Benton Habitat for Humanity
  • Rebecca Taylor, Construction Manager, Benton Habitat for Humanity

As Corvallis transitions to a sustainable energy future, we all need to adopt the motto of Habitat for Humanity: “Working together to make decent homes achievable for everyone in our community.”

Energy efficiency is relatively straightforward in new construction, but most of Corvallis housing is older, built to a less efficient standard than is required today. This week's event will investigate the incentives for upgrading that are available to diverse income and housing groups, as well as explore further opportunities to make Corvallis housing more sustainable.
The program will be separated into two parts: the first part will cover retrofitting options and solar, and the second part will focus on low-income home repair programs in our community. Following the presentations, audience members will have a chance to ask questions.

We invite you to come and explore the opportunities that best fit your needs!
