A message from our new Board

Dear ISACA South Florida followers, we are all excited for the year ahead! We will be working very hard to make sure this year is as successful as the past year in this amazing chapter. This is the 45th year of ISACA South Florida! As we continue to grow in membership, we encourage you all to take advantage of the activities the chapter has in order to grow your network and help new members integrate into the community. RECAP OF OUR RECENT EVENTS

Annual General Meeting (AGM'2023)

During the past quarter, after the elections, we installed our new Board of Directors and had a wonderful evening at Funky Buddha for our Annual General Meeting! We had great presentations over Financial Crimes and Vendor Management Risks thanks to our amazing speakers from the FBI and InfraGard. We also presented our review for the past year and went through our successful events and achievements! We granted scholarships to college students who are working towards becoming young professionals. We are all ready to raise the bar higher for this year 2023-2024!

Congratulations to our Scholarship Winners!

Board of Governors for ISACA South Florida is being established.

With the efforts of renewing the chapter bylaws and re-organizing the structure with the leadership of our dedicated Past Presidents, Clay Moegenburg and Rob Valdez, we are in the process of founding our Board of Governors to support our Board of Directors at the strategic level.

Technology Risk Conference

ISACA South Florida Chapter hosted another great event together with the IIA South Florida Chapter. Our Technology Risk Conference was a online conference that offered 3 CPE's with important topics such as: Importance of Governance in Cybersecurity and the NIST CSF 2.0 Framework, Advancing Communication in Disruptive Times, and a Cyber Incident Experience. a big THANK YOU to our speakers and to the 200+ registrants that attended virtually.

CISA Review Training

During the past month, 30 of our members joined Dr. Fernando Martinez, who has contributed greatly to the success to our chapter, in taking the CISA Review Training! One of the most important objectives of our chapter is to enhance the education of our community, and the members who attended certainly enjoyed the weekend long review in order to successfully pass their upcoming exams. Good luck to all of our members! If you wish to know more about review courses about other ISACA certifications like the CISM and CRISC, please reach out to the Board!

The attendants participated in the training course for the entire weekend starting Friday afternoon until Sunday.
