March 2023 Newsletter

A Thank you message from our Board

Dear ISACA South Florida members, a big THANK YOU to everyone in your support and help as members to make our past 3 months full of events a success. Without your presence and volunteering efforts, the events would never be the same. We really enjoyed seeing you all in our Feeding South Florida Volunteer event, our Cyber Insurance Panel, our WOW! Conference and our Hockey Night. We hope for your participation in our upcoming events!

RECAP OF OUR RECENT EVENTS

Feeding South Florida - Volunteer Event

We have continued our volunteer events! We would like to thank Feeding South Florida for hosting us and our Director of Volunteering, Chibueze, for coordinating this successful event!

We enjoyed a Saturday afternoon assisting in the packaging of over 7,000 pounds of food that were distributed to local communities who suffer from food insecurity. It is definitely an honor to be able to assist our local community by giving our time and resources to those who need it most. Stay tuned for more volunteering opportunities.

Thank you to our volunteers on a job well done!

ISACA & SIM Cyber Insurance Panel

ISACA South Florida Chapter hosted another great event together with the SIM South Florida Chapter. A big thank you to our attendants and our Rockstar Panelists moderated by Erik Tomasi, as we continue to foster great relationships with other IT members in our community. We will definitely continue working in the future to make sure to bring the content that our members want to hear like Cyber Insurance. Please feel free to communicate with us over future topics that you want to learn about!

We are grateful for Kelley Kronenberg Law Firm, for hosting us in their office for the event.

Our speakers provided us a variety of perspectives from different backgrounds including: Cybersecurity, Compliance, Legal and Insurance industries.

WOW! Conference

Our main event of the spring certainly did not disappoint! For the first time since 2020 we had our WOW! Conference in person and had more than 300 attendees. WOW indeed! We would like to thank our sponsors for the event, our wonderful speakers, who instructed us throughout the day on how to enhance digital trust amid the ever changing technology landscape, and most importantly thank you to all of you who attended and the volunteers who came in bright and early to assist the board members with preparations for the event. It takes a great team to make such a successful day!

Hockey Night!

We had our first ever Hockey Night this March which was a great success! We truly enjoyed this event as we had a learning session and many hours of uninterrupted fun! It was an amazing way to de-stress with colleagues and meet other members in a more personal way...GO PANTHERS!

All of our members had a great time!
