A message from our Director of Corporate Relations

As we move toward the end of 2023, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the first 3 quarters of the year, update you on some of the many exciting developments within our ISACA South Florida Chapter, and share our vision for the future.

I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for our active and vibrant SFL community. Our members and partners are truly amazing! Over the past year we have collaborated with many organizations. We have supported each other, collaborated in our activities to maximize our impact, and we have been able to connect you with your peers, fostering meaningful connections and making a difference in our community.

As we move forward, please know that your input and ideas are invaluable to our continued success. We encourage you to share your thoughts, suggestions, and feedback, as your insights play a vital role in shaping our ISACA SFL strategy. None of this would have been possible without each and every one of you and our dedicated community partners, corporate sponsors, and academic supporters.

In closing, I want to reiterate my appreciation for your membership and partnership with us. We are so thrilled to serve the South Florida community for our 45^th year, and to celebrate our milestone year with meaningful partnerships that have positively impact our organizations and our South Florida community!

Thank you for being an integral part of our ISACA SFL Community, and I look forward to the exciting journey ahead.

RECAP OF OUR RECENT EVENTS

ISACA and IIA Bowling Night!

STRIKE! We started the third quarter of 2023 with a social event to break our day-to-day routine. Members of ISACA South Florida and IIA Miami Chapter joined for an evening of family fun during our bowling night! It was a great evening with fun, networking and excitement, where we were all able to share some good laughs and connect with other members!

We would like to thank all of the members from both ISACA South Florida and to our partners in the IIA Miami Chapter for participating in our bowling social event We are looking forward to our next social!

Engaging Students with Industry, Government,

and Academia on Cybersecurity

ISACA South Florida Chapter, FBI Cyber Division Miami, InfraGard South Florida Members Alliance, and NSU Computer & Engineering Club CCE partnered and collaborated together to engage all South Florida cybersecurity students for an event in NSU with speakers, a panel discussion and a speed networking session with the industry and government professionals for cybersecurity jobs and career opportunities on September 8th, 2023.

We are very happy to contribute to building the cybersecurity workforce of the future in South Florida! Thanks a lot!

ISACA CommunITy Day!

"There is no greater commitment

than being of service to one another..."

Thank you, for your contributions to the Global ISACA CommunITy Day! The event happened all around the world, hearts beating together for the community. ISACA South Florida Chapter volunteers were at the Dania Beach Cleanup activity giving their best effort to help with a cleaner environment!

The day was beautiful and perfect for a beach cleanup! Thank you to all 40+ volunteers who made this wonderful event possible!

ISACA Hill Day in Washington DC

Recently on September 27, our ISACA South Florida Chapter was among the selected chapters throughout the country to represent ISACA Global with a lobbying visit to Capitol Hill. We met members of congress and visited their offices to further promote "Digital Trust" as one of the main challenges for the professional and cybersecurity ecosystem. We teamed up with our CEO and other Chapter Leaders.

She Leads Tech Webinar!

To end our third quarter with a great event, we had a She Leads Tech Webinar! We learned with our keynote speaker Lisa Plaggemier, Executive Director at the NSA - National Cybersecurity Alliance over Behavioral Science in Cyber Security!

Our Board Member Domingo Castillo giving a team building best practice speech "From CISO to JEDI Master" at the SFISSA HTF Conference

ISACA South Florida Chapter sponsored the "CISO Thought Leadership" event by Kelley Kronenberg Law Firm

ISACA South Florida together with 22 chapters all around the world collaborated and took an active role in the "Global Student Summit and Virtual Career Fair" with Almost 500 students attending.

CISM Training - In person CISM Exam Prep Training with our Rockstar instructor Dr. Fernando Martinez on November 11 and November 12 from 9:00am to 5:00pm.
