ISACASFL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, 6:00PM to 8:00PM Eastern, ISACA South Florida will host its Annual General Meeting and install the new board of directors for the chapter. This will be a free virtual event from approximately 6:00PM to 8:00PM. There is no registration fee, and the event is open to members, affiliates, and interested people in the community.
During the meeting, we will introduce the new board of directors, present reports about chapter activities, and host a presentation by a guest speaker. The chapter will also award scholarships, recognize special achievements and contributions, and review chapter activities and results for the fiscal year. 2 hours of CPE are available.
Guest Presentation:
Our guest presenter will be offered by 24By7Security, Inc., a premier cybersecurity consulting firm with headquarters based in South Florida. 24By7Security, Inc. has been in business since June 2013 providing Cybersecurity and Compliance services, including professional security consulting, to hundreds of clients. The presentation will discuss approaches and best practices for incorporating the use of data analytics into a proactive cybersecurity program.

ISACASFL & HIMSS SOUTH FLORIDA FREE WEBINAR:

On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, 12:00PM to 1:30PM Eastern, ISACA South Florida and HIMSS South Florida will co-host a webinar to discuss risk management strategies for healthcare organizations in 2021, including discussion about safeguarding PHI, defending against ransomware, and understanding emerging threats and security innovations. The event will include a panel of local South Florida Healthcare CISO.
There is no registration fee, and the event is open to members, affiliates, and interested people in the community. 1.5 hours of CPE are available.

On Thursday, May 20, 2021, 8:00AM to 8:00PM Eastern, Tech Hub South Florida is partnering with Premier Virtual to bring together some of South Florida's top educational institutions and local tech companies to attract the most vibrant and diverse community of tech professionals. The event will include keynote speakers and workshops throughout the day to educate job seekers on ways to improve their social media presence, resume writing, and ways to find out if an employer is truly diverse and inclusive. These tips will help you to "Embody Your Value and Uniqueness" and ultimately assist in finding and getting that job!

The Colorado Cybersecurity Apprenticeship Program Wants Volunteers

The Colorado Cybersecurity Apprentice Program would like to find cybersecurity professionals who are willing to shed some light on real-world job requirements and options with students. Having students engage employers or professionals in the field can provide benefits such as:
- Helping students compare their perception of the career with the realities
- Helping students identify different professional roles and industries
- Helping students discover a wide range of career paths available
The audience:
- Students enrolled in apprenticeship program for a Cybersecurity Analyst / Pen Tester role.
More about our program:
The C-CAP is designed to prepare apprentices for mid-level and advanced-level cybersecurity roles across five different occupations: (1) Cybersecurity Analyst, (2) Cybersecurity Consultant, (3) Penetration & Vulnerability Tester, (4) IT Auditor, and (5) Cybersecurity Manager/Administrator. To align with industry needs, all five cybersecurity apprenticeship programs include relevant cybersecurity certifications. Upon completion of three courses and the associated bootcamps, apprentices will be equipped with the skills, education, and experience to work in the exciting and ever-evolving world of cybersecurity management.
