Board retreats are an important time for trustees to come together for deeper reflection and planning around their work. Taking the time to ask yourselves how you are functioning as a Board and how can you organize your work to be a higher functioning Board is time well spent. Doing this at the end of the school year or late summer will give you the flexibility and time that may be needed to re-organize and prioritize how you approach your work as a Board for the upcoming year.
