Enhance Your Board Facilitation Skills
As Board Chair you are the facilitator of board meeting dialogue - keeping discussions focused, participatory, and respectful. Sometimes it can be challenging to draw out diverse perspectives, manage the loud voice in the room and keep conversations on track while not shutting people down. This requires skill and ISCA is committed to providing you with opportunities to learn and practice those leadership skills.
I hope you will join us next Tuesday for a workshop that will focus on your role as Board Chair 'Facilitator.' You will learn how to:
- open and close meetings with clarity
- handle tension, tangents and high emotions in your board room
- how to deepen board thinking using open-ended and forward-thinking questions
- draw out diverse perspectives
