Here's What You Had to Say About ISCA
Dear ISCA Members,
I want to share with you feedback from the ISCA member survey we asked you to complete in June. On behalf of myself and the ISCA Board of Directors, we want to thank those members who shared feedback and provided so many instructive and thoughtful comments. We loved reading each of your remarks! While we wish we had heard from more of you, 20% of our members did complete the survey and I will highlight the results here.
In general, the survey results indicate that you are pretty happy with your ISCA membership! 91% of you are ‘very satisfied’ with your overall ISCA membership experience, which is great news for us! 100% of you indicated that you were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the content we were making available to you; 83% of you were ‘satisfied’ or ‘very satisfied’ with your peer networking opportunities. We would love to hear how we can facilitate more peer networking opportunities for you so please email me your ideas and suggestions. I remind you that the member directory is on our Members Page and lists each member’s e-mail address. The directory is organized alphabetically and also by state so you can reach out to other chairs directly in addition to connecting with each other on our Online Forum, Chair Chats and webinars.
When asked about future topics we could provide programming on, you mentioned topics like: HOS evaluation, distance learning, strategic planning, committee structure; Board goal setting and evaluation, financial sustainability for small schools with small endowments…There were lots of great suggestions. I recommend all members visit the ‘members page’ of our website to see archives of webinars and Chair Posts that address many of these topics. While we will continue to address universal issues that Board Chairs face, there are also some resources in our archives that you can begin to look at.
When we asked you if there was anything else you wanted to tell us, you shared your appreciation and support. For that, we thank you!
“You’ve done a great job! Love the Chair Chats and new chair mentoring.”
“It’s a great resource; wish I had known about ISCA during my first ter. I didn’t join until my second.”
“Thanks for the support”
“I’m so happy to be part of this organization. Thank you for all you offer us!”
“ISCA has been such a terrific wealth of information this year. The variety of information you provided through the website, webinars and facilitated chair chats was such a valuable resource. These touchpoints helped me, and I’m sure a lot of other board chairs better navigate through these tumultuous times. Thank you so much!”
To all our ISCA members, I encourage you to provide feedback to me at any time. You don’t need a formal survey to share your thoughts and ideas. I look forward to hearing from you and finding ways to better serve you!
