The Islamic Society of Central New York (ISCNY) is a religious organization whose purpose is to provide programming and services for the religious, social, community, health and holistic well-being of the community. ISCNY is committed to and actively seeks to foster collaborative partnerships & promote inter-cultural & interfaith dialogue to eliminate misunderstandings about the principles and ideals of the Islamic way of life. I SCNY's doors are open to anyone.

*Cost:  $10 per child / up to 3 children & the 4th child $5

REGISTRATION is NOW OPEN  for the  1st Annual Islamic Organizations of CNY Soccer Tournament  (IOSCNY)  Saturday, April 9th, 2016.  All boys ages 7-18 years old across the CNY Muslim community are invited to participate in the IOSCNY indoor soccer tournament!!! Games will take place at the Syracuse Academy of Science Middle and High School. Team divisions are determined by age, after March 11th registration deadline coaches will contact participants about team division placement and their tournament location.

Participants must  print all registration forms (4 total), review, complete and submit to your designated organization/ masjid IOSCNY representative.   Individual player and team sign-up forms must be turned in with registration fee(s).  The ISCNY team representative, Naima Barbour will be available to take forms during regular office hours (Monday - Thursday 10am- 3pm) and Fridays before Jummah.   Individual player and team sign-up forms must be turned in with registration fee(s).

Please note an additional $15 late registration fee will be charged after Saturday, March 26th.  Registrations will  NOT be accepted at the tournament.

Participants must have sneakers to play, all team divisions  t-shirts are provided at NO extra cost  to players.
Islamic Organizations of CNY Soccer Tournament committee's primary focus is fostering brotherhood to help build bridges between our various communities; and is dedicated to building Islamic character through competitive fun and play.

Join Masjid Isa ibn Maryam (MIIM) March 3rd for a presentation & conversation about the Syrian Refugees  Crisis with Regional Director of  Helping Hand for Relief and Development  (HHRD) -MENA Yaser Alkhooly.

HHRD is a global humanitarian relief and development organization responding to human sufferings in emergency and disaster situations around the world. In addition to emergency relief efforts in natural or man-made disasters, HHRD also works on long term relief and development programs.

VOLUNTEER TO HELP the Youth Activities Council (YAC) &    We Rise Above the Streets Outreach, Inc to pack "barakah" bags of food for the homeless on Saturday, March 5th, 2016. This is your opportunity to volunteer and help people in your community.

The Youth Activities Council encourage the next generation of youth leaders to engage in key cornerstone organizational goals of philanthropy, community service and personal development.

The ISCNY Reentry Forum meet with formerly incarcerated Muslims to discuss issues relative to returning to society. The forum extends structure, reinforces Islamic conduct/morals and offers fellowship. Forum volunteers can help assess health, addiction, employment, housing or social service needs and recommend referrals.  This forum  also serves as a means of removing stigmatization of individuals  returning to the Muslim community after incarceration. The Reentry Forum seeks to serve as a vehicle to address marginalization, loneliness  and behaviors that lead to recidivism by offering support in an Islamic environment.


Being charitable and providing for the needy is one of the five pillars (tenets) of Islam. Many of the world's faiths emphasize the importance of charity. In Islam, there is (zakat ), obligatory charity and (sadaqah ), voluntary charity. The act of volunteering to help those in need is considered an act of worship (ibadah ) . . . . .  

"O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient."

*Jumuah begins at 1:00pm every week.

During Jummah cars are authorized to park in Oakwood Cemetery. Please adhere to all city parking rules & directions of attendant at Oakwood Cemetery.
