"And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and be not divided among yourselves" - Al-Imran:103
As a step in uniting our hearts, a consortium of CNY masjids including, Islamic Society of CNY, Masjid Al-Huda, Islamic Culture Center of Bosniaks, Masjid Bilal and Masjid Isa Ibn Maryam have decided to follow the Fiqh Council of North America in determining the beginning of Ramadan and Eidul Fitr inshaa Allah.
As such the beginning of Ramadan 1437 will be, Monday June 6th and Eidul Fitr will be on Wednesday July 6th, 2016 inshaa Allah. (Fiqh Council follows Saudi Arabia in determining Eidul Adha).
To initiate our efforts of working together and uniting our hearts, all the aforementioned masjids will pray the first taraweeh prayer this Ramadan together - led by the renowned Qari Sheikh Mohamed Jebril - on Sunday June 5th at the Liverpool Hoilday Inn inshaa Allah.
We ask Allah to guide us all to what He loves and accepts from sayings and deeds.
