ISCPA Monday Takeaway

A great visit up North for CDA Career Discovery Night - sponsored by LCSC

Thank you to LCSC Tax Law professor and ISCPA member, Yuen Sauter for the invitation and help in organizing the visit for the Coeur d'Alene Career Discovery Night. LCSC accounting students had great questions about the Society and I was thrilled to share! I even met some current members, recruited a couple new ones - and came home with a big smile on my face. What a great event!

ISCPA Board Member Chris Shipley was also able to zip over. It takes a village - and we sure are lucky to have such a great group to share the importance of the CPA! (During tax season, no less!)

" Speed-meeting " the SMALL FIRMS

with BSU's Beta Alpha Psi

Save the date - April 17

It will be a "speed-dating" format, with the firms rotating to meet the Beta Alpha Phi students. We would even like some "virtual" firms there - so if you're out of the area.. email me - let's Skype you in! Students can sit down & talk with you over the computer!

This is in the beginning planning stages - it is a go , but the specifics are being worked out. So contact me if you want to help me make this even more fantastic and successful!

Member Bulletin

Last week, we had a Member Bulletin regarding ISCPA clarifying an IDHW request for income verification . We had a recent note from a member, that we thought was important to pass on:

If CPAs are requested by the client to provide information from past tax returns to a third party, the client must have signed a Consent to Disclose per IRS sec 7216.

I don't want anyone to miss out on an offer for COMPLIMENTARY CPE.

If you paid your membership dues, PLEASE REGISTER by March 18 or they won't process as free.

Although you don't have much time left to register, you will have several months to watch the webinars!
