Gather in with us at the new Lotus Center, on the 2nd and 4th Friday between 12 noon and 2pm for light lunch, laughter, & library time. We will at long last link together with all of those we have only seen on zoom for the past year! Yahoo! The Lotus Center is now located at 124 County Rd 58 (Hemlock Rd.), Oneonta, at the home of Tom Landon. Please let Tom know if you plan to drop in! Enjoy Casual conversation with fellow members and friends of ISD Oneonta. In the warm weather we will be poolside! Bring a dish to pass if possible, but don’t worry if you don’t have one- we just want to SEE you!

Peruse the ISD Members’ library, choose to take out a book on an array of metaphysical topics, including dream interpretation, channeled guides to life, dealing with loss, and much more.



We also have a set alone Edgar Cayce collection with more than 50 books written by Edgar Cayce, his son, Hugh Lynn Cayce, and many interpretations and commentaries from other authors.

Amanda Hoover, Spiritual Counselor, & Psychic Medium, in this 3 part series, leading us in energetic & practical self-care techniques. When we are responsible for our own wellbeing, we are better able to serve our community. This course provides recommended therapeutic self-care for light workers & healers.

ASTROLOGY FORECAST

(May 6 - 16)

CERES turns direct in Virgo on 5/6 and will remain in Virgo until 6/21. CERES is a dwarf planet in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. The qualities are creativity and abundance in a very organized, efficient manner. Virgo is a very detail oriented Earth sign that welcomes the fertility of Ceres. She assists agriculture and the seasons of life. It is a very strong placement, adding another significant Earth element to the stellium of planets currently in Taurus. 

VENUS transits into Cancer on 5/7 until 6/5. Her rulership of love, beauty, and gentility takes an inward focus toward the home, hearth, and the self.

This is appropriate now. It works in concert to the larger scale focus.  Applying nurturing to the self and close associates, and adopting an attitude of "To thine own self be true," then naturally emanates out into the world.

Now we come to another of the very auspicious changes of sign by the closest of the outer planets. Saturn has moved into Pisces and Pluto into Aquarius. Now JUPITER  begins a year - long transit in Taurus. This is a wonderful placement for Jupiter!

One of the reasons for optimism is the joining of forces of the benefic planets, VENUS and JUPITER. They are joined in the sense that while Jupiter is in residence in Taurus, the lucky, gracious, beautiful energies of Venus rule the sign of Taurus.

This Jupiter transit will begin and end with Pluto in forward and outward looking Aquarius. The wealth of resources and the abundance of Taurus, associated with Jupiter's great good luck, is focused by Pluto in Aquarius in such a way that it includes entire populations and WHAT IS BENEFICIAL TO ALL IS THE EMPHASIS.

That is where the caution of Jupiter in Taurus may show itself. The creation of limited abundance that focuses the riches to a select few is not as supported as previously. Care may also be taken against overindulgence.

When JUPITER moves into Taurus on 5/16/23. The habitual activity will slow. It will become calm and steady. The possibility to create a solid foundation for your future exists regarding your possessions and financial security. 

This may include a change in what you truly value. The financial/economic chasm that has widened between the masses will come to the attention of all. SOLUTIONS may begin to be implemented. It will become important to believe that this includes you. 

A good thing to keep in mind  is that Aries, where Jupiter has been, initiates. Taurus, where Jupiter is going, materializes.

Another bonus to look forward to with the Jupiter transit through Taurus is the retrograde cycle. It is going to take place in early September at 15°, a direct conjunction to the Taurus Point of Avatar. This is also the placement of the Royal Star Aldebaran.

If you include the days approaching the retrograde and those after, we will have months of Jupiter being within the effective degrees of conjunction of this Cosmic Portal. The cosmic Solar winds bathing our Solar system's largest planet of great good luck gives us the resources to create the halcyon days of lore that we have all hoped for!
