ASTROLOGY FORECAST
(Aug 1 - 8)
August opens with the FULL MOON in Aquarius on the 1st at 2:32 pm EST. It is at 9° Aquarius, which is a critical degree, providing added strength. It is the first of 2 Full Moons in August. The second on 8/30 will be a "Blue Moon." Both are supermoons, which appear brighter and larger because the Moon is closest to the Earth in its orbit. The Aquarian Moon will highlight far reaching vision, group dynamics, altruism, the rise of the common citizen. Aquarius dreams on a vast scale, usually accompanied by a strong faith in the future.
This moon has many aspects. There are squares, trines, and oppositions, of note;
SUN opposite MOON (full moon)
SATURN opposite MERCURY
(Saturn will question Mercury's mental processes and communications. Are they clear, fair, and necessary?)
PLUTO square the NORTH NODE (This asks us to address the shadow with courage and grace to reach the heights of soul growth the North Node encourages us to aspire to.)
JUPITER square the SUN and MOON ( Jupiter's benefic character stands ready to bestow grace and abundance upon all who are dedicated to their best destiny, the best they can do under whatever circumstances they find presented to them.)
PLUTO trine URANUS (Uranus will potentially instill sudden changes themed around Pluto's subconscious topics, be they for good or challenging. The trine adds to the possibility of true progress.)
NORTH NODE trine MERCURY and VENUS
(These two personal planets that orbit the Earth often and contribute to our daily lives will find good vibrations from a soul level. Personal breakthroughs may come to pass.)
JUPITER trine MARS (The workhorse nature of Mars will benefit from abundance and good luck if honest efforts have been made for improvement.)
LION'S GATE
Each year from late July to mid August there is a powerful line up of celestial bodies while the Sun is in Leo. This lines up Earth, the Sun, the Dog Star Sirius, and Orion's Belt to form a powerful portal that peaks on 8/8. Manifestation is favored and supported. The leadership capabilities of Leo are enhanced by the other spheres allowing us to create from the palette of our most cherished hopes and dreams. Adding to the efficacy is the influence of the numeral 8. The 8 is the infinity symbol turned 90° and stands for abundance and proper use of power. All of these elements combined assist you to be the star of your own creative life.
A personal experience of mine is a very good example of the possibilities of the annual Lion's Gate phenomenon.
It was in August 2010 when I participated in the first training/retreat that I ever attended. The training was based on the Keys of Enoch.
I had studied independently for 15 years at that point. One of the conclusions I had reached was that I could not meditate. Whenever I attempted it I was never able to shut my mind off, nor leave my body behind.
This experience was about an hour into the first morning. We were instructed to imagine ourselves in the King's Chamber in the Giza Pyramid. Then we were told to imagine ourselves shooting out of the top of the pyramid. No further instructions were given.
Using my imagination was key for me. It felt as if I was shot out of the pyramid up toward the Orion constellation. I passed through a portal between the 1st and 2nd belt stars. From there I flew through the center of a series of Suns, perhaps a dozen or more, finally arriving at the Great Central Sun.
Once there I bathed in a pool of golden liquid plasma. The feeling was as loving and comforting as anything I had ever felt. The trip felt as if I had actually traveled the distance, not just in my imagination. That is how vivid the mental process seemed.
Upon return I stayed in a soft trance state for several minutes. A paper and magic markers were given to me with instructions to try to draw the experience in a picture. The picture produced was far more skilled than my native talent had ever exhibited before. The proportion of several suns lined up with a wormhole connecting the centers all together was an accurate depiction of the experience. Another image was of a star with 17 threads leading down to Earth in a fan shape that I have seen in Egyptian drawings. My personal numerology has 17 as an important number. A soul connection perhaps, because I seemed to "know" things not previously understood.
This was nothing short of shocking at the time and may not have been possible had it not been at the peak of the August Lion's Gate. I was a beginner at organized training who was not even close to being able to imagine this. It moved my spiritual perspective forward to a great extent.
Whatever your fondest wish may be, this is what the annual star/sun/planet line up can accomplish on your behalf. Allow your dreams to flourish in this window of time.
The cosmic portal can activate memory, DNA, and understanding of concepts not previously mastered.

ASTROLOGY FORECAST
(Aug 9 - 16)
Asteroid JUNO joins the SUN, the MOON, VENUS, and LILITH in Leo to form a 5 way stellium on 8/15. This is a very strong combination of feminine energy.
Juno will be in Leo from 8/15 until 10/17. This placement presents an abundance of loyalty and dedication to a loved one. It can also expand to a loyalty to principals and ideals. This, along with all the other feminine energies in Leo could bring a softening to leadership and power. Don't mistake soft power and cooperation for weakness. New approaches might be very effective.
The NEW MOON is on 8/16 at 5:38 am in Leo. There are several aspects in the sky that will partner with the conjunct Sun and Moon.
Pluto is still square the North Node. (Addressing your shadows so that you may achieve soul growth.)
Jupiter and Uranus are conjunct in Taurus and are square the conjunct Sun and Moon in Leo. This square will influence finances/resources and how they will show up among the leadership and power of Leo. There may be sudden developments in both positive and negative ways, depending on the integrity of the individuals involved.
However, there is an even luckier aspect overlighting all the others. There is a Grand Trine in the Earth signs. Trines are always positive, Grand Trines even more so. This one involves:
*Pluto in Capricorn
*Mars conjunct Mercury in Virgo
*Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus
An Earth Grand Trine may bring in new inventions benefitting the balance between humans and nature. It can also increase love and awareness of a codependent relationship with all life. This NEW MOON day seems as if it could be quite auspicious! You may want to make a point of communing with the Earth in whatever way you most enjoy. It should serve you well.
NEW MOONS are times to go within for your comfort, answers, and beginnings. You may have entirely different circumstances arise than anything that I have mentioned. You are the best judge and also your own architect and creator of your life and endeavors. You can create beautiful experiences. This NEW MOON can be your partner.
RETROGRADE PLANETS
We are in a retrograde season at the moment and in the coming days. Planets and asteroids currently retrograde are:
VENUS LILITH
CHIRON SATURN
NEPTUNE PLUTO
These will be joined by MERCURY and URANUS by the last week in August.
Any retrograde offers you opportunities to review, recreate, rethink, redesign anything that does not serve you well.
There is one retrograde that I would like to mention in particular, VENUS in Leo. If someone thinks about Venus they usually think of a romantic love. In these days, I believe that Venus can expand to a more universal love. The love of life and love of the mundane, as well as the expansive. Leo's native power can combine with Venus and increase the power of love, in contrast to a love of power. This is part of the awakening. A feeling of connection and love to everything. Venus can help us create this new relationship to all of creation.
The PERSEIDS METEOR SHOWER adds its annual magic to the toolkit. This amazing shower will have more visible meteors this year as it peaks at the time of the NEW MOON. Last year we saw a few quite spectacular meteors on the stargazing evening in my field. This shower is the best of the year and can frequently include fireballs.
This shower is created when the Earth passes through the tail of comet Swift-Tuttle each year. This comet orbits 9 million miles into deep space. It takes 133 years to orbit our Sun. It has a very long tail of cosmic ice and dust. Every year we get new inputs of Cosmic material. There is wisdom, family, and remembrance there in those particles of magic!
