ASTROLOGY FORECAST
(July 1 - 8)
We open July with the FULL MOON in Capricorn on 7/3. The Moon will actually appear big, beautiful, and full on both 7/2 and 7/3 since the time it is full is at 7:38 am EST on the morning of the 3rd. It is the first of 4 Supermoons in a row while the Moon is near perigee, the point when it is closest to the Earth in its orbit.
Capricorn exhibits stability, strength, responsibility, and a willingness to work hard. Now let us add a few more attributes that may add a light, interesting note to the usually serious Capricorn realm.
To discern how the Full Moon may influence us it is interesting to look at the Capricorn symbol, the Sea Goat. The symbol is one of the dual qualities in the zodiac that whispers to us to be imaginative and bold with our creations. There is the fish that is the back half of the symbol that can plumb the depths of the waters in the sea. The mountain goat in the front half of the symbol that can both balance on, and leap from, the narrow ledges of the highest mountain peaks of the earth. This speaks to the ability to explore the full range of our existence contained within one sign, that is associated with hard work, but not necessarily much adventure.
This dual nature speaks to abilities that are beyond the typical understanding. To plumb the depths of the sea, and perhaps the emotional waters of our human nature, while wielding steadfast Capricorn talents, adds an intriguing blend to the sign. The assent to the heights that the mountain goat contributes speaks to the "ever ready bunny" nature of all humans. The willingness to keep going and to expand. Now I want you to consider another, perhaps more light hearted quality to the goat. They are incredibly curious and very funny in a "Dennis the Menace" sort of way. They are also relentless, but always living out they're lives in a perpetually amused state of mind and action. (If any of you have ever experienced baby goats at a petting zoo, you will know what I mean by relentless.)
On this Full Moon the energies support continuing the exploration of areas in your life that may not work well for you anymore. Pluto has returned to Capricorn giving additional emphasis to this theme. Keeping in mind that Pluto assists redemption and transmutation, you will have a partner in your attempts to tie up loose ends. Capricorn lends its responsibility and willingness to work hard if necessary.
The following day our Sun aligns with the fixed star Sirius. Sirius B is thought to be our sister star and our spiritual Sun. The star system contains several water planets, as is the Earth, which is not a common occurrence in the universe. Also, several of our animal species have come to us from Sirius. Cattle, dogs, cats, whales, and dolphins all have aspects of themselves in Sirius. These animals serve us in a significant way, or we feel particularly attached to them. They are here to assist us. This alignment to Sirius while still in the activity window of the Full Moon, will also assist any evaluation you care to do on your habitual patterns that may not be serving you well. The vibrations felt through the waters of the planet at this time may be appropriate to include in some way with whatever activity feels right for you.
The beginning of July also has a Grand Trine between the Moon's South Node in Scorpio, Saturn in Pisces, and the Sun and Mercury conjunct in Cancer. Remember that trines are universally positive and it being a water trine aides the feminine flow that the new energies support so well.

STARGAZING TIPS:
In the northern hemisphere the month of July gives you a chance to find some interesting constellations in the southern sky. It will be dark enough to find the sky's features at 10 pm. Begin by following the Milky Way on the Northern horizon. It curves around toward the east and meets the opposite horizon in the south.
We will concentrate on that southern horizon. The band of the Milky Way widens out as it approaches the south. Within that band look for a cluster of stars that look like a teapot. This will be slightly to the left of due south. That is part of the Sagittarius constellation. Moving immediately to the right, look for a curving group of stars. This next group is the Scorpio constellation. The curving tail is closest to the Sagittarius stars. The Scorpio stars curve around and to the right in a stylized S shape before ending in a short horizontal line of 3-4 stars. The shape is like a scorpion. Three quarters of the way up the S shaped line of stars is a larger, more distinct star. It is Antares and is called the "heart of the scorpion." It is one of the 4 royal stars.
Directly above Scorpio is a somewhat large box shaped group of stars. It is quite a large constellation that is not a straight line at the top of the box shape. This is Ophiuchus. It is considered by some to be a 13th Zodiac sign that is a conglomeration of all the other signs.
These are easy to find constellations in the July sky. Hopefully you will enjoy looking for them. Remember to be receptive to any messages the stars may send you, whether it seems part of the astrological system, it will be pertinent for you.
I want to tell you about a fascinating resource for combining astronomy with astrology as I like to do. It is https:earthsky.org. This website is full of wonderful information about all the newest discoveries in astronomy and great sky watching tips. One of the things I love is the colored photos they render of the images sent back from the various satellites. They measure the wavelengths of images and therefore assign that color spectrum to them. The result is truly beautiful. Last week they used a similar technique to apply music notes to the vibrations and had several recordings of "space music."
It is a perfect depiction of combining science with art. I have mentioned often that I consider astrology to be both a science and an artform in interpretation and application. I encourage you to give the website a look. If you like it you can sign up to receive weekly emails.
ASTROLOGY FORECAST (July 9 - 17)
Asteroid PALLAS moves into Virgo on 7/10 until 9/11. Pallas is well situated in Virgo since she is very strong in strategic planning, wisdom, and conflict resolution. Virgo is meticulous with details, has excellent abilities with structure and dedication. Pallas will also contribute highly developed moral character to the combination.
MARS also moves into Virgo on 7/10 until 8/26. This will be a very good trio in application. Mars will add strength and structure. Combining all these attributes, this interval could see the beginning, and implementation of exciting new ventures for you personally and for our culture.
Aiding this further is MERCURY moving into Leo on 7/11 until 7/27. Mercury is very strong in fire as it orbits close to our Sun. Leo is the most powerful fire sign. Together they are likely to contribute great self confidence and leadership potential to the conjunction of Pallas and Mars in Virgo.
A caution to keep in mind, especially now with all this potential is to wield this power well. Be aware of tendencies to over control people and situations.
The NEW MOON falls in Cancer on 7/17 at 2:32 pm EST. This is a perfect placement for this Full Moon, which rules Cancer. This adds the best possible energies for any, and all new ventures. The NEW MOON is the ideal time to begin anything. We will also be in the heart of the previously mentioned sign changes. If the weather allows, try to bathe in this Moonlight. Listen to the singing of the crickets and night birds. All will assist you if you allow it.
The next change is long term and likely paradigm shifting in nature. It is the axis shift of the North and South Nodes of the Moon. Also known as the head and tail of the Dragon.
They are calculated points rather than physical bodies. They are universally considered to be powerful in their influence. The South Node is both the strengths that you brought forward with you from previous experience and the shadow aspects you are hoping to reconcile in this life. The North Node is the hopes and aspirations you have for your life. There may be some you aren't consciously aware of, strengths and resolve waiting for activation by the choices you make. The nodes may activate ancestral DNA at opportune moments.
The shift will be the North Node from Taurus into Aries and the South Node from Scorpio into Libra. (The movement of the nodes is always retrograde.) This sign position will hold until Jan 11, 2025.
The South Node in Scorpio has contributed to the purging we have all been experiencing. The personal and cultural shadows have demanded our attention. How have you done? How have we done? This shift gives us a chance to find balance, fairness, and justice. It should be a comfortable shift for all who have been making attempts to better themselves and their creations.
The North Node will observe and radiate all the enthusiasm, fire and excitement of new beginnings. All that you have been hoping for is supported now. Free will is vibrantly active, so bear in mind that unfortunate choices will also come to pass as well. This is where accumulated fears can get you off track. Thus the value of staying in the present moment. Fears mostly originate from a past fear brought forward into the present and then projected into the imagined future. One helpful technique for allaying fears can be to focus in the present moment, then ask yourself, "Am I safe right now?" Usually the answer is yes. Therefore, do all you can to gather the youthful, enthusiastic Aries energy and use it to vividly imagine and create all that you are hoping for - and even better.
We will discuss this again as planets rotate into aspect positions, the aspects being the geometric forms between planets and points.
May you create all that you hope for and find your Godspeed.
