This three-part class looks at the art, the history, the science, and the magic of meditation from three unique perspectives with three instructors. Join Rev. Diana, Rev. Story, and Rev. Renee as they lead you on a journey towards discovering the benefits and joys of meditation for yourself.

All you ever wanted to know about practicing legally, ethically, & correctly in your Psychic & Healing Work. Diana Friedell, Director at ISD, & JoAnn Wormuth, Healing Program Director, review good practice & required protocol for giving messages from Spirit within ISD and in NY State. As spiritual beings how do we receive our psychic information? In what ways are we receiving messages, reading energy, and experiencing those things around us that we cannot physically hear, see, or touch?

Kimberly Winsor, RPP, LMT, teaches us the ins and outs, the do’s and don'ts of muscle testing- a technique used much like dowsing, using one's own body to cipher out truth for any given situation. ASTROLOGY FORECAST (Jan 19 - 26)

There are a few changes of sign and motion active this week in our Stellar "neighborhood." Some of these changes may feel welcome to you; the body's gentle stretch after a time of quiet, a hibernating animal momentarily waking to let in new movement and oxygen before settling back in for a bit more restorative rest and integration.

The Sun moves into Air sign Aquarius on Wednesday evening. Thus, adding a breath of fresh air to the introspection we have naturally engaged in with so many planets in Earth sign Capricorn in recent days.

A quick review of Planetary placements on Jan 19th:

Sun, Mercury, and Saturn are in Aquarius, (forming a short term Stellium), Venus and Pluto in Capricorn, Mars in Sagittarius, Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces, Uranus in Taurus.

This cluster of Planets in one quarter of the Zodiac is intriguing. Many of our outer constructs, from the cultural to the personal, have begun to seem brittle. We perceive cracks in the human foundations. The return of the Divine Feminine can fill our structures with the love that energizes all of life. This may seem repetitive, but it is of utmost importance in our evolution. We know that we must find balance. We begin to recognize, en masse, that the fuel tank of our society is running dry. We may, perhaps, look to the partnership, and love, of all life force on Earth, and in the Stars for our new fuel.

The aforementioned move of the Sun into Aquarius is always welcome at this time of year. We feel the increasing length of the days deep in our psyche. Aquarius has us looking up and out. We take what has been an inward focus out to a wide aperture. With that tends to come a healthy level of detachment and discernment. Aquarian energies are necessary to Ascension. We must be able to see the broad scope of our personal and collective lives with a loving overview that is receptive to moving on to our next best destiny.

This week the Moon is in the first quarter moving through Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio. Those of you with many planets in these signs will find Goddess based assistance this week.

Mars enters Capricorn on the 24th. This lends an air of force to the mix and if it is afflicted in an individual, or country, it can show up in dictatorial tendencies. The importance of sending light to those creations to soothe and calm the fears of everyone will be highlighted for the next 6 weeks. The positive side can be discipline and focus toward something better. 

We are in the year's first Mercury retrograde. The planet is associated with communications and is one of the "personal" planets. This planet serves as a conduit for Solar energies beamed to the Earth. It revolves rapidly, bathing all in it's sphere of influence. It serves to provide us with common ground in the subtle realms. We chose the scrambling of "tongues" and cultures in our creative sojourn. Mercury assists us with an intrinsic understanding through this time.

You may wish to think of a Mercury retrograde as a GOOD CHANCE to rethink, review, reorganize, restate, etc., so that you can bring forth the best you are capable of at this time. Mercury spins around us, whimsically asking, "Are you sure that is what you want?" Answer with JOY in your heart!
