Song Of Hope by Thomas Hardy
O sweet To-morrow! -
After to-day
There will away
This sense of sorrow.
Then let us borrow
Hope, for a gleaming
Soon will be streaming,
Dimmed by no gray -
No gray!
While the winds wing us
Sighs from The Gone,
Nearer to dawn
Minute-beats bring us;
When there will sing us
Larks of a glory
Waiting our story
Further anon -
Anon!
Doff the black token,
Don the red shoon,
Right and retune
Viol-strings broken;
Null the words spoken
In speeches of rueing,
The night cloud is hueing,
To-morrow shines soon -
Shines soon!

ASTROLOGY FORECAST (Feb 9-16)
In early January I discussed a few differences between the Eastern Sidereal system and the Western Tropical astrology systems. Here is further detail for your consideration. As I study I have come upon 6 different Astrological systems and 5 different Numerology systems so far. Also, how many variations are there of Tarot, Runes, Angel Lore, Sigils, etc.?
In addition, consider this:
The Astrology systems set up a chart with an equal number of days spent in each sign. Below is an Astronomical chart for the calendar year 2021 showing how many days the Sun was crossing each Astrological constellation:
Aries - 25d Taurus - 37d
Gemini - 28d Cancer - 20d
Leo - 36d Virgo - 44d
Libra - 23d Scorpio - 23d
Sagittarius - 31d Aquarius - 22d
Pisces - 37d
( Scorpio can be split up, if you consider the 13th sign of Ophiuchus, to only 6d in Scorpio, and then 17d in Ophiuchus.) This is quite varied from the applied 30 days per sign system, isn't it? Are you confused?
With all the different systems and hard facts you could debate the details endlessly. That is where I think the ART of interpretation comes to your aid. These energies are glorious, living entities. We live within them and our quest is to entrain the very best of their qualities. Life as dynamic art indeed. The debate can be quieted, if you choose, by approaching the analysis with some flexibility. I believe we knew the Earth School would challenge us and that we would need these many Divination systems of intricate, evolving expression for guidance. We agreed en masse on the application of these tools, similar to the languages, arts, sigils, etc. (In other words, what do we agree that this means?) The systems are science based, but with enough discrepancy to require some adjustment. Ask yourself, "What do I think this means?" What message is this being that I reside within trying to communicate? Your Higher Self and Guides will step in to assist if asked.
The systems are tools that we use with a willingness to adapt them to our circumstances. I do not believe the discrepancies between systems and obvious errant details means you cannot find great assistance with their application.
This week:
Mercury enters Aquarius on Monday, Feb 14th on St. Valentines Day. This will lend a visionary quality to our thinking. Progressive, enlightened, and humanitarian describes this placement at its best.
The following day, Venus is conjunct Mars. Coming on the cusp of Valentine's Day, this will assist the highest expression of the outpouring of love. Venus and Mars work best when they work together.
Finishing up a wonderful sequence on Wednesday, the 16th, is the Full Moon in Leo. The Leo Moon is regal and elegant with the capacity for generosity. The softening feminine aspect of the Moon can bring out the best expression of our dignity.
In conclusion, this is my observation and my wish for us. Humanity promises to come together on a worldwide basis to exhibit peace and brotherhood for the Olympics, no matter what else is happening, in joyful defiance of strife. Because of our current challenges, this is the second Olympiad in 6 months. It's inspiring and hopeful that we can do this.
This year the Planets have combined in very helpful placements around our traditional holiday of love and brotherhood at the exact time when we are engaged in Peaceful Games to celebrate the best some of us can accomplish while in our Earthly bodies.
I hope you find joy and encouragement around these days, as I do. May you find your Godspeed!

And the Good News Is!!!!!
- Are you looking for a book about Santa Claus, an exploding Christmas tree ornament, time travel, and a giant turkey? If so you might want to get on the waiting list at the library in Boise, Idaho where 8-year-old Dillon Helbig slipped his hand-written, self-illustrated masterpiece into the stacks of the children’s section. The library kept his book and it ended up having one of the longest waiting lists in the library’s history. Read the Good News Network article Here
- New images have been recorded by NASA revealing the red-hot glow of Venus’s surface radiating through its shroud of toxic clouds. Scientists have been able to discover geological features such as highlands, plateaus, and plains. Read the Science Alert article Here.
- Archaeologists have uncovered 18,000 ancient Egyptian notepads. These ostraca are inscribed pottery shards and bring visibility to everyday life as they include shopping lists, schoolwork, and trade records. Check out the Smithsonianmag article Here
Do you or someone you know need some assistance with mental health issues or coping. Here is a link to the US Department of Health & Human Services that will provide you with resources and tools to help deal with the stress.

What is the Institute for Spiritual Development?
It's both a metaphysical church and an educational center originally founded 40 yrs ago in Sparta, NJ. With the belief that all paths lead us Home, ISD is dedicated to helping each spirit walk their path with courage and joy.
We stand for each individual’s right to seek their own personal Truth, as they respect the same right for others. We honor the sacred texts of all traditions of the Light.
The Oneonta NY chapter of ISD was Lovingly created by Rev. Diana Friedell & her sister Rev. Sue Landon. We are now led by a powerful leadership team, and executive board.
ISD is a spiritual community that focuses on healing and intuitive connection, and the joy of finding the spirit connection within rather than being told how it should or could be experienced.
We welcome those who want to belong to a spiritual group of like-minded people, in which you can explore and find your own path in a community of love and support.
There are classes, services, events, and a sense of community and fellowship. Energy healing and intuitive messages are delivered as a regular part of the worship service. Classes offer many tools which will help you on your life path, and the community we are creating together is one of openness and acceptance, and the ability to adapt with change and growth.
Welcome Home!!!
We could use your help. If you would like to volunteer to help with our Metaphysical Library, event planning, service planning, website, office tasks, or anything else- Just call or email! Diana!
