Dear ISDA family,


I am looking forward to seeing, face to face, many of you next month at my last ISDA Annual Conference.


For the past 30 years I have been attending the meetings as a Shareholder, then a Board Member and lately as your Executive Director. The last four years have been rewarding, at times challenging and always interesting, but the time has come to hang up my spurs and retire.


The Board and I are searching for our next Executive Director, and we would value any feedback or recommendations you may have.

Have you looked at the NuMedia collection from Palmieri? They have added totes to the very popular “Sola” mobile storage shelving line, a great addition for organizing stuff.


GSS lockers are rebranding their name to become DASCO Distributors. DASCO weapons storage systems are well known and consolidating the names will lead to stronger market recognition. We are looking forward to having Al French, V.P. Sales, at the 49th Annual Conference to meet with all of you.


I found the webinar with EQUIPTO on the 18th very interesting. They have a solid Mobile Racking system which will ensure a piece of this important market for ISDA members. We are looking forward to having both Keith Lehman and Collin Straus at the conference next month to meet with each of you.


We also held a webinar with Shure Manufacturing USA, and if you are setting up automotive parts departments and service bays, this is an excellent line of “made in the USA” products. I also found the Security Drawers that Michelle Vondera spoke about intriguing. We have nothing else like it in the ISDA lineup of products and there are many markets for the line. Michelle is looking forward to meeting all attendees at the conference in Nassau and discussing where and how you can sell Shure products.


Finally, the webinar with Gaven Rolfe of DC Locker on Sept 1st was extremely informational and exciting. I learned just how much I do not know about Smart Lockers, just listening to the exchange of ideas between Daryl Miller and Gaven, it was a great lesson in learning. What an exciting opportunity for every ISDA member to get in on the ground floor of an exploding market, with a solid Locker Partner!

 

Memorable Mentions: (Orders over $25K)

 

  • Jeff and Rachel’s team at Donnegan Systems sold a boat load of S&W on one order – labeled folders are still hot items at times!
  • Kraftwerks, Inc built a very large racking system with Ridg-U-Rak. Great selling to Ann Marie & Bill’s team!
  • Craig Crock’s team at Southwest Solutions landed a very nice sale with Eagle Group products.
  • Southwest also sold a very nice Panel Built system – Great Selling Team!
  • Patterson Pope sold a very large S&W order to someone – great selling!
  • Material Handling USA, Jim Gault’s team, was busy with a large Lab Design project. Good selling!
  • Datum delivered a sizeable order to Southwest Solutions for installation. Good selling Southwest Team!
  • Last month I mentioned that Reynolds Systems sold a nice Panel Built project; but I forgot to say they sold two of them – so congrats Jake, a second time!

 

Five weeks from now we will be meeting for our 49th Annual Conference and Shareholder Meeting in Nassau, there is still time to sign up to attend. You will not want to miss out, especially the Beach Party on the evening of the 13th!

Two Story Modular Office with Storage Deck

This 1600-square-foot elevated implant office system incorporates Panel Built's modular mezzanine structures with our panelized, in-plant office system to create six new offices, a meeting room, and a common area for their customer, a worldwide waste management company: in their Connecticut facility.  


The new structure creates additional workspace while taking up minimal floor space below. A custom deck height was required to fit the offices within the facility while providing the right amount of space below to fit their machinery perfectly underneath. The office's outer walls are formed from our standard vinyl-covered gypsum panels. However, the walls forming the individual interior offices include added soundboard for additional sound dampening.

As you consider your options when purchasing new or used equipment, be aware of the following advantages of financing:


• Avoid using cash for pre-delivery deposits. Most funders require a deposit at the time you place an order. Yet delivery of the equipment could stretch out to over a year from now. Instead of losing use of your cash, finance the equipment and make the smaller monthly payments instead. And while rates have gone up in the last few months, they still remain low historically.


• The only collateral is the equipment you are financing. Some financial institutions require a blanket lien on assets to secure their loans. Not us. No collateral is required except the equipment you are financing.


• No annual financial reporting. Once you are approved and your equipment has been financed, no further financial information will be required of you for the remainder of the term of the loan. No tax returns, no personal financial statement. Nothing.


• Keep bank lines of credit open. Preserve your cash for possible emergencies or other uses. Allow the equipment-based financing to take care of equipment acquisitions. The line of credit will keep your "cash cushion" in place.


• Equipment-based financing and leases provide certain tax advantages. Your tax professional can provide the details on how you can save with Section 179 tax benefits.
