ISDS Foundation Programs:

Now accepting applications

and nominations

The ISDS Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the dental profession through special programs and services benefiting Illinois dental students and dentists. No state or federal funding is received. We thank the many donors who help make these programs possible.

Scholarships

The ISDS Foundation board of directors awards six scholarships at $6,000 each (2 for each dental school) for 2025.

Current D3 students enrolled in the third year of an accredited four-year traditional pre-doctorate dental program in Illinois may apply (CLASS OF 2026), with scholarship recipients announced in late July/early August.

William J. Greek Memorial Leadership Award

The William J. Greek Memorial Leadership Award is presented annually to an ISDS member who has demonstrated leadership qualities, a sincere involvement in ISDS, and has been in dental practice for ten years or less.

2025 Community Grants

The ISDSF distributes several thousand dollars each year in various amounts to applicants residing in the State of Illinois and to such projects that benefit the people of Illinois. Priority is given to proposals that have measurable improvement goals, show strong community support for the project, and are innovative in nature.

Funding requested for each applicant may not exceed $10,000.

Assistance Program Provides Lifeline to Dentists in Need

The Dentists Support Program provides a referral system for dentists who are struggling with the problem of alcohol or substance abuse and are in need of treatment assistance.

With just one call, the dentist, family member or friend can request help from the program. It is completely anonymous and takes just a couple of minutes.
