Oral Health Needs in the Refugee and Immigrant Communities Webinar


The Refugee Health Program at the Illinois Department of Public Health and World Relief DuPage / Aurora are inviting you to join this virtual webinar, on Friday, February 17, 2023, at 10:00 am CST.


Presenters, Dr. Esther Lopez (ISDS Member), Justin Blunt and Bilqees Yawari will discuss the oral health needs in the refugee and immigrant communities and best practices for supporting newcomers and their oral health needs.

The emotional effects of the COVID-19 crisis are far-reaching, with increased depression, suicides, and alcohol and substance abuse. If you know of a dentist who is struggling with emotional distress, addiction or substance abuse, please help them to reach out to the ISDS Foundation’s Dentists Support Program.
