Confidence and familiarity with proper respirator practices is important for employers, 
respiratory protection program managers, and safety managers in all industries who 
rely on N95 respiratory protection to help keep workers safe. The education to build 
this familiarity must happen before the time comes when a respirator is needed. 


NIOSH, under authorization  of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, 
provides a testing, approval, and  certification program assuring respirators used 
i n the workplace meet the standards of 42  CFR Part 84. Since 1994, NIOSH 
has maintained a searchable, online version of the  Certified Equipment List.  
Based on previous comments and suggestions from  stakeholders, NIOSH updated 
the  Certified Equipment List format in 2016. View the new format here.


OSHA has issued $320,000 in fines to the Louisville, Ky.-based employer, claiming it 
shows a "serial disregard of fall protection."


OSHA inspectors also said that Fraser failed to: Follow respiratory protection requirements, including fit-testing employees, properly cleaning and storing respirators, and training 
employees on respirator use; Provide fall protection.
