In 2014, nearly 24,000 eye injuries involving days away from work occurred, the 
Bureau of Labor Statistics states.

Washington Update 

In addition to the higher civil penalties, the U.S. Department of Labor ("DOL") and the

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has scheduled another hearing to gather information about its proposed rule on lowering beryllium exposure time.


Most nurses surveyed (92 percent) always wear gloves, but only 63 percent said they 
always wash their hands after removing gloves, and only 82 percent said they always 
wash their hands after caring for patients.


The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recently outlined recommendations to improve the thermal comfort of employees who work indoors in 
moderately cold environments. 


All roofers should also be able to recite OSHA's fall-protection standard. This has 
become a major source of citations in recent months and is easily preventable if 
employees are prepared for the OSHA interview.

geometry of the inner and outer canals of your ear in order to find the optimal fit for 
earbuds, says the company's CEO Samuel Kellett, Jr. The eFit 3D scanning technology 
was the named as a CES 2016 Innovation Awards Honoree.
