DOJ Cites ANSI/ISEA 105 Performance Requirements in Procurement Bid
 
The Department of Justice's Federal Bureau of Prisons has issued a procurement bid for law enforcement gloves for use by over 38,00 staff.  The solicitation includes reference to the ANSI/ISEA 105 standard for cut-resistant and puncture resistant properties as part of the performance requirements for candidate gloves.  Additional details on the acquisition request can be found here.

Honeywell announced the new Honeywell Life Guard Hood for fire fighters that features an innovative, patent-pending design and proven fabrics that provide better blocking protection 
against hazardous particulates compared to traditional hoods.

at refineries, and to protect refinery workers and surrounding communities from exposure 
to health and safety risks," said David M. Lanier, Secretary of the Labor and Workforce 
Development Agency.
