"This initiative is a direct effort to fill the void in guidance on dropped object incidents,
which have continued to rise in recent years," Boake Paugh, president of West Coast
Corporation and a member of ISEA's Dropped Object Prevention Group.

NAHB called on OSHA to expand its small business compliance assistance to help home
builders and other small business owners improve the safety of their operations.
Employers are caught in the middle of this debate, as they often must resolve the issue of
whether employees with concealed carry permits should be allowed to carry their firearms
at work.
"This settlement confirms that the company acknowledges the necessity of improving safety
and health practices, as well as fostering a culture that supports safety among employees,"
said OSHA Regional Administrator Robert D. Kulick.
