DuPont Nomex Marks First 50 Years of Enabling Endless Possibilities
Kicking off a year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of an inherently heat- and flame-resistant fiber used to help provide protection to millions of people.

rappelling down buildings, oil rigs and ceilings - including the Minneapolis Convention
Center's.
MSA Safety announced that it has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, a global
leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as a 2017
World's Most Ethical Company®. This is the third consecutive year MSA has been
recognized with this distinction.
"In future soldier systems, what we're looking at - and other manufacturers - is being more appropriate for different classes of threats," Angela Benoit, Defense Department market
manager for Avon Protection Systems, told Army Times on March 14 at the Association of
the U.S. Army Global Force Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama.

After a few failed attempts to put an indoor heat illness prevention rule in place, the California legislature stepped in.
In its report, NIOSH has cited the following factors in the firefighter's death:
- Lack of crew integrity;
- Improper SCBA use;
- Inexperienced firefighter;
- Special service vehicle not equipped with SCBA; and
- Lack of training on fire dynamics.
