The ISEA is offering an updated version of its  Personal Fall Protection Equipment Use and Selection Guide in time for the Safety Stand-Down. The publication includes information on safety standards and regulations regarding fall protection, as well as an index of safety equipment manufacturers.

3M Fall Protection will emphasize inspection of equipment and dropped tool prevention 
during 2017 OSHA Safety Stand-Down.

D&D Construction Specialties Inc. and Tyler Development Inc. are cited for ten serious 
and three willful violations following a worker's death.

NIOSH  aimed to accomplish the following through the survey:
  • Gain better understanding about the circumstances of health care workers' exposure 
  • to chemicals.
  • Evaluate the use of best practices to minimize exposure.
  • Examine barriers to using personal protective equipment and other exposure controls.

Scientists from Cornell University have filed a patent for a non-fluorinated way to make 
textiles oil resistant.
