What has changed?
The guide has been extensively updated to reflect new regulations and standards, particularly the November 2016  OSHA rules for walking-working surfaces and  fall protection in general industry, and changes to the ANSI/ASSE Z359 standards.


 3M to Provide Hearing Protection for U.S Soldiers

"3M supports PEO Soldier's objective to maintain hearing protection and prevent 
hearing loss. These products will help soldiers be more effective in combat, and will help 
allow them to return home with their hearing intact," said Shawn Gregg, U.S. Business 
Director, 3M Personal Safety Division.

"Honeywell is building on its leading position in industrial safety products and solutions to 
develop and deploy connected worker technologies that allow customers to make workplaces safer and operations more efficient while helping companies avoid costly down-time and administrative burden," said Ken Schmidt, general manager of portable gas detection 
products for Honeywell Industrial Safety. 

The acquisition includes leading lawn and garden glove brands-Mud and West County 
Gardner, as well as Brahma work gloves.

"You shouldn't have to risk your workers' safety because budgets are tight," said Tom Votel, president & CEO, Ergodyne. 

Fentanyl can be absorbed through the first responder's skin or through the air. 
Gloves, masks and gowns can be used for protection.


The American Society of Safety Engineers has issued a set of recommendations to 
OSHA to "emphasize the management of risk, sharpen the agency's focus on productive 
policies, and fill legislative and regulatory gaps that limit OSHA's ability to better protect 


The proposed sale will help the Indian military to enhance its capabilities while improving the relationship between India and the U.S.
