Presented by NASA Ambassador Frank O'Brien

Early next year, astronauts will be returning to the vicinity of the moon for the first time in over half a century. The slow pace of the Artemis program is worrisome – will we meet the goal of landing crew by 2030? What are the reasons for the delays? Similar to the original space race, we have a competitor, now the Chinese. Does their space program have the ability to reach the moon? Answers to these questions and more will be discussed!

About Frank O'Brien:

Frank O'Brien is a volunteer historian for NASA as part of their history, education

and public outreach efforts. As an author, his book on the Apollo Guidance

Computer has been well received by both the spaceflight and computing

communities. In 2012, Frank became a Solar System Ambassador for NASA's Jet

Propulsion Laboratory and lectures on a wide range of space topics. Frank has

volunteered at the InfoAge Science and History Museums since 2003.
