Welcome Reception

The Welcome Reception takes place on Thursday, April 3 at 18:00 to 19:30 amongst the Exhibits and Posters. Food and non alcoholic drinks will be served and alcoholic drinks available for purchase.

Run / Walk

Bring your running or walking shoes and join us on the evening of Friday, April 4 for a run/walk in Beacon Hill Park.

Cultural Networking Reception

The Cultural Networking Reception takes place in one of Canada’s oldest continually operating museums, the Royal British Columbia Museum, a 3-minute walk from the Symposium venue. Experience an indigenous and historical journey of British Columbia when visiting selected galleries and exhibits, including a First Nation’s long house, a recreation of an early townsite and the spectacular ocean life on Canada’s west coast.

The evening begins with an Indigenous inspired mocktail on arrival and a welcome by the Lekwungen Traditional Dancers, on whose land the Symposium and Reception takes place. While viewing the galleries guests can take photographs with the dancers in their traditional regalia and enjoy a reception menu showcasing indigenous themed hors d’oeuvres.

Food and non alcoholic drinks will be served. In keeping with ISOPP’s alcohol policy, no alcohol will be offered. Dress code is business causal. Admission is included in full Symposium registration fees. Guest tickets ($150 plus 5% GST) are available through the registration site until Friday, March 28, 2025.

Hotel Cancellation Policies and Non-arrivals

Changes or cancellations can be made up to 72 hours before your arrival date without penalty and if made within 72 hours prior to your arrival date, the first night’s room and tax will be charged. First night’s room and tax will be charged for non-arrivals (no shows).
