ISPE Nominations for New COVID19-related Award
Deadline: April 17
Dear ,

The COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the importance of expertise, on many levels, in epidemiology and pharmacoepidemiology. Examples of such work conducted by ISPE members worldwide include discovering new vaccines and treatments, defining disease characteristics and natural history, identifying high-risk populations, determining what drives transmission and prognosis and the impact of effective treatment and vaccines, helping to shape policy and guidance to design and govern valid research, integrating relevant topics in educational and outreach activities, identifying new methods for tracking the pandemic and effectiveness of vaccines and treatments at local level and worldwide, exploration of new data sources, application of real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) to answer critical questions, new methods to communicate safety-related issues to large populations, and others.

ISPE has created a special award to recognize how ISPE members have made and, in some cases, continue to make a demonstrable impact on public health related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ISPE members are encouraged to nominate an ISPE member meriting recognition for contributions and achievements made during, and directly related to, the COVID-19 pandemic. Self-nominations are permitted. In respect of nominations please be prepared to submit: a rationale for the recognition, a current photo, and a CV of the individual.

Only current ISPE members are eligible for this award and are expected to attend the annual meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark, in August to personally receive the award. Up to 10 individuals will be recognized. Each recipient will receive free registration to the meeting.

Help us find and celebrate the ISPE members that made a difference during these difficult days! Submit nominations online here: ISPE COVID19-related Award. no later than April 17, 2022.

I look forward to receiving your nominations and celebrating the accomplishments of our members at the Copenhagen meeting!
