Dear ISPG Members,

Are you ready to step into ISPG committee membership? Now is your chance! ISPG unveiled a new strategic plan earlier this year, and part of that included a new committee structure. The committees have been hard at work this year to increase the society's value proposition for our members. You can read our new mission, vision, and goals HERE.

ISPG is having an open call for new Education, Membership, and Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity in Action (IDEA) committee members, and it's easy to apply. You can view the strategic focus of both committees below. If you would like to be considered for either committee, please CLICK HERE to complete the survey. You will be asked to upload your CV and write a statement of interest for the committee you are interested in joining. (Note: Committee service is contingent on ISPG membership.)

The deadline to complete the survey and to be considered for committee membership is Monday, October 31, 2022.

Education Committee
  • Produces members-only access to online materials
  • Analyzes existing collaborative partnerships to expand opportunities for scientific and supportive collaborations
  • Develops a list of new collaborators to broaden the scientific depth and reach of ISPG
  • Provides online curated catalog of vetted resources, links to evidenced-based information
  • Offers year-round career enhancement and leadership opportunities to members
  • Creates new and maintains/enhances existing programs to overcome socioeconomic and geographic barriers for those dedicated to the field
Membership Committee
  • Develops and articulates a membership value proposition based on the needs of the membership.
  • Reassesses value/fee of membership by end of Year 2 and during Year 3.
  • Highlights and promotes member achievements throughout the year.
  • Provides means to establish ISPG Interest Groups on key topics of interest to members.
  • Develops organization-level memberships.
  • Conducts analysis of the diversity of past and current membership, leadership, and conference attendees and speakers (collaborate with Program and IDEA committees).
  • Reviews and selects ISPG Honorific Awards recipients.
Inclusion, Diversity, Equity in Action (IDEA) Committee
  • Establishes regional/cultural member ambassadors
  • Sets Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 diversity goals
  • Creates new and maintains/enhances existing programs to overcome socio-economic and geographic barriers for those dedicated to the field
  • Encourages the distribution of culturally sensitive ISPG scientific and society materials available
  • Plans the IDEA Plenary at the WCPG
  • Seeks opportunities to fully realize the global network at the WCPG
  • Conducts analysis of the diversity of past and current membership, leadership, and conference attendees and speakers
All interested applicants will be reviewed by the the committee chairs. Committee member appointments are for four-year terms.
