The Institute's Mission

Welcome to The Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions (ISPS) at St. Petersburg College. We are dedicated to advancing academic excellence, community engagement, economic vitality, and public understanding through high-quality, solutions-directed, non-partisan public policy programs.


The purpose of ISPS is to enrich the education experience, engage with government to promote unity and efficiency, facilitate economic activity, and involve citizens in their college and government.


ISPS seeks to educate Floridians in the following ways:


  • Promote student engagement
  • Enhance civic and community involvement
  • Serve as a center for public discourse
  • Identify economic initiatives

Launch of the Economic Interview Series

We're excited to launch our Economic Interview Series! ISPS will be hosting one-on-one interviews to discuss economic trends and initiatives with experts from different backgrounds across the state of Florida. Click below to watch the interviews!

In the first episode, Kimberly G. Jackson, Executive Director, chats with Christie Bruner, St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce's Vice President of Advocacy.

In the second episode, Matthew Lee, Communication Coordinator, sits down with Roy Kirchner, the CEO of Ultimate 3D Printing Store and Services.
