International Education Week (IEW) is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of international education and exchange worldwide. IEW plays an important part in making an effort to promote intercultural learning and support programs that prepare students for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences. This year our campus will celebrate IEW from October 26-30, 2020!
Join the International Student Association to test your global trivia knowledge! This is also a great opportunity to learn more about joining ISA, which is open to all students at UNCG who are committed to creating a welcoming environment for all and promoting intercultural exchange.
Did you know that global/intercultural fluency and leadership are two of the top skills sought by employers (according to the NACE)? The Global Leadership Program is a phenomenal, co-curricular experience designed to help develop your intercultural competency and grow your global network. The program is open to all majors and levels of study. Learn about how the GLP can contribute to your global experience at UNCG!
International students already have half of the needed experiential points towards the GLP just by studying at UNCG!
This international coffee hour is dedicated to holding space for a discussion on finding ways to civically engage as a non-citizen and learning more about the U.S. election system. The conversation is open to any and all students, staff, and faculty at UNCG as part of our International Education Week celebration.
If you're interested in learning more about the potential impact of the U.S. election on international students, we recommend the "Ballots and Borders" webinar recently recorded by Cornell University.
