The beauty of a community is all of the uniqe individual members of which it is comprised. Not one can say to the other that they are not needed. Indeed, a community rises together and meets its challenges together. Here in Richmond Heights it is not the community on one side and the school on the other, but one unified group: One Richmond. Our strength springs forth from the dedication, wisdom and experience of those who have gone before us, those who are willing to teach, sacrifice, and love those generations who follow along the same road to reach new heights.
Many of you in our community have walked the same halls as our current elementary students. Perhaps our elementary was your new school. Those who came before us knew that in order for continued growth to occur for the upcoming generations, they would have to sometimes make difficult decisions--sacrificial choices--ones that meant their love for their community transcended their own comfort.
In Richmond Heights, we have the ability right now to make a mark that impacts the legacy of greatness in our community. The youngest members of our community need your help. The significance of providing our students with access to modern, updated school facilities cannot be overstated; these environments are essential in unlocking a world of opportunities that inspire learning and growth. By supporting the upcoming operating levy, taxpayers play a critical role in ensuring that our schools are equipped to meet the needs of every student. Support from our community members is a commitment to investing in the future of our children and the quality of education they receive. Imagine the difference we can make together—creating nurturing spaces that foster academic excellence, equity, and holistic development right here in Richmond Heights. By uniting as a community--One Richmond-- and championing our students you can directly uplift local families and pave the way for brighter futures!
As an urgent reminder from a previous publication, the elementary roof, boiler, and pipe issues have cost $1.5 million in repairs in the last few years. Additionally, the district's operating budget will be a $1.2 million deficit if the levy does not pass.
This November's crucial ballot issue would provide funding to build and operate a 21st Century Community Learning Center for our Elementary School students, as well as ensure that our entire campus can operate properly and safely.
Can we count on you to join in the mission and vision of one of the greatest opportunities in your community-- to supporting the needs and development of your youngest citizens at the elementary school and the operation of the entire district?
