Financing Options for Aircraft Portfolio Acquisitions

A&L Goodbody's Marie O'Brien, partner and head of the Aviation & Transport Finance group, and her colleague Keith Mulhern, partner in the Aviation & Transport Finance group, will discuss the legal aspects of various options available for financing aircraft portfolio transactions and their key features. It is anticipated that aircraft portfolio sales and acquisitions will be a recurring feature of the aviation landscape this year, so this discussion will share valuable insights into how these deals could be financed and structured.

Applications Open for 2023 Humanitarian Aid, Grants and Scholarship Programs

The ISTAT Foundation is now accepting applications for its Humanitarian Aid, Grants and Scholarship programs. Please share this information with organizations or students who could benefit from this support.

Humanitarian Aid applications will be accepted through 7 August 2023. Learn more.

Flying the Extra Mile

This past September, six ISTAT Foundation representatives made the trip to Kenya to support the African Leaders in Aviation, a first-time grant recipient, and participate in a four-day workshop focused on expanding students' knowledge and interest in aviation.

ISTAT Appraisers Program

Revised Handbook

The ISTAT Appraisers Program (IAP) Handbook including Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics Revision #10 Effective 2023.02.01 (the Handbook) went into effect on 1 February 2023 and may be found here.

This handbook supersedes the ISTAT Appraisers Program Principles of Appraisal Practice & Code of Ethics - Revision #14 Effective: 2020.03.01 and the ISTAT Appraisers Program Handbook - Revision #9 Effective: 2020.03.01.

For circumstances where definitions and terms in effect prior to 31 January 2022, inclusive, are required, please contact the IAP Executive Director at IAPExecutiveDirector@istat.org for a copy of the superseded IAP Principles of Appraisal Practice & Code of Ethics and/or the ISTAT Appraisers Program Handbook.

Continuing Education

In conjunction with ISTAT Americas in San Diego, the IAP Business Meeting and ConEd Session is scheduled to start at 13:00 on Sunday, 5 March. Attendance is limited to members of the IAP, the IBG and invited guests.
