ISTAT Foundation Launches Ukraine Relief Fund
The ISTAT Foundation has established a relief fund in response to the urgent and growing humanitarian crisis that is unfolding in the wake of the conflict in Ukraine. The ISTAT Foundation made an initial contribution of $300,000 toward the fund. ISTAT has also committed up to $300,000 in additional relief through an ISTAT Matching Campaign to help reach the goal of $1,000,000. The ISTAT Foundation is Accepting Applications for Grants Programs
The Grants Program offers aviation-related grant funding to global organizations that advance commercial aviation, including programs aimed at introducing the aviation industry to a diverse group of constituents and educational platforms such as museums, summer camps and workshops. Applications are open through Monday, 2 May 2022. All applicants will be notified of the status of their application no later than Friday, 29 July 2022. |

IAP Holds Business Meeting with ConEd
The IAP held its first combined in-person/online Business Meeting and ConEd Session at ISTAT Americas on 6 March. Fifty-eight members attended in person, with 20 joining by Zoom. For those members not able to join “live,” the ConEd portion is available for viewing at ISTAT.org.
IAP Elects new Senior Appraiser on Exams Committee
Mark Halsor was elected by certified IAP members and/or members of the IAP Board of Governors (IBG) for the open IBG position of Senior Appraiser on the Exams Committee. Mark takes over from Kara Levine, who was a valued contributor during her term.
New Additions to the IAP Board of Governors
The ISTAT Board reappointed Mark Pearman-Wright of Airbus and appointed Aisling McCarthy of Avionix to the IBG. Aisling succeeds David Berkowitz, whose contributions during his two terms were appreciated.
Congratulations to the New ISTAT Certified Appraisers
Teresa Rothschild, AVITAS, and Alex Vathylakis, Ascend by Cirium, joined the ranks of ISTAT Certified Appraisers, having completed the certification process in February.
The IBG bestowed the honorary designation of ISTAT Senior Appraiser, Emeritus upon John Trevett for his outstanding service to the IAP and ISTAT.
