ISTAT Appraisers Share Updated COVID-19 Guidance
As a follow-up to the April survey and in anticipation of year-end activities, the ISTAT Appraisers Program (IAP) conducted their October 2020 survey of program member firms in order to provide another set of guidance on aircraft valuation markets, trends and appraiser activities. Similar to the last survey, the main goal of this exercise is to allow for greater visibility and transparency on how best to unpack the information you receive from the appraisal community and how best to use it for your own analysis. COVID-19 Relief Grant – Recipient Updates
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, ISTAT committed, by way of the ISTAT Foundation, US$500,000 in COVID-19 relief funding to 12 aviation-focused charities across the globe in June and July. View updates from the COVID-19 grant recipients here.

Continuing Education
The ISTAT Appraisers Program (IAP) held its first online continuing education session on 11 November. Over 80 IAP members attended, and we expect even more to view the recording. Topics included valuing assets in a challenging environment and right of use accounting standard.
Certification Exams
Due to the cancelation of ISTAT EMEA 2021, the IAP held its certification exams off-site on 20 and 21 October. Six exam takers were spread among Dublin, London and Reston, Virginia. Thank you to everyone who participated and made our first ever off-site certification testing such a success.
