ISTAT Board Elections

The period to submit nominations for positions that will become available on the ISTAT Board of Directors in March 2020 is now closed. Voting will open on 19 February and close on 2 March at ISTAT Americas. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon. 

ISTAT PDP

In September 2019, ISTAT announced the launch of the ISTAT Professional Development Program (ISTAT PDP) in association with PwC, a cutting-edge program designed for professionals with one to five years’ experience in the industry. ISTAT received a wide range of high caliber applications and candidates were informed of their selection in December 2019. The ISTAT Foundation’s Internship Program acts as an intermediary between ISTAT member companies and students seeking aviation internships. Through the use of a web portal, qualified students and employers are able to match the right skills, background and interests with corporate internships. Placed interns who qualify will receive a stipend from the ISTAT Foundation to cover qualified housing and travel expenses of up to $2,500.   Click here to learn more.

ISTAT Appraisers Program Board of Governors (IBG) Welcomes New ISTAT Certified Senior Appraiser

Martin O'Hanrahan, AVITAS, joined the ranks of ISTAT Certified Senior Appraisers after passing the Senior Technical Exam at ISTAT EMEA in September. 

ISTAT Americas Business Meeting & Continuing Education Session

The IAP Business Meeting & Continuing Education Session will be held at ISTAT Americas at the conference hotel, the JW Marriott, on Sunday, 1 March, from 11:00 to 17:00. Lunch will be provided. The agenda will be distributed once finalized. This event is only for IAP members and invited guests. 

IAP Board of Governor (IBG) Nominations

Requests for nominations will be distributed to the ISTAT membership by the end of the month. There are two non-appraiser seats up for election, each to serve for two years. The ISTAT Board of Directors selects the non-appraiser members of the IBG.

The IBG has the responsibility to administer, oversee, and modify standards and procedures of appraisal practice and the Code of Ethics. In addition, the IGB governs the ISTAT Appraisers' Program. It also has the responsibility of hearing, reviewing and ruling upon any disciplinary action that may have to be taken should an ISTAT Certified Appraiser be brought before the board for allegedly violating the rules, Code of Ethics, or established appraisal practice standards and procedures.
