Students, faculty, and staff across campus participated in ISU Day at the Capitol on Monday to highlight the value of Iowa State University to legislators.
Nearly 30 departments, centers, and colleges showcased the impact they have on the state and beyond through education, research, and service.
"As the state's only land-grant institution, we not only impact the students we educate, but also communities, businesses, and Iowans in all 99 counties," said President Wendy Wintersteen. "The state relies on us to produce skilled workers, to provide services to Iowans, and to research and come up with innovations to address our greatest challenges. An investment in Iowa State benefits the entire state."
