ISW President's Message

Dear ISW Supporters

With the opening of the new ISW India Center, we are excited to launch a number of new initiatives as part of the ISW 2025 strategic plan. In addition to the activities we held in the past, these new initiatives are providing a dynamic new dimension to the services and programs that ISW can provide. You can see a few listed in this newsletter such as the Women Empowering Women (WEW) panel, the Professional & Entrepreneurial Network (PEN) meetup and the ISW University Summer camp.

We are also pleased to offer members only offerings like the Summer Camp and the FREE admission to Tower Hill Botanic Garden. We hope to provide many such member privileges to enhance the value of your membership. With an annual fee of just $25 it is the best value in town.

As always feel free to contact me at president@iswonline.org if you would like to share your ideas or to get even more involved!

By Devishi Jain, ISW Youth Reporter

Continuing our series of interviews, we had ISW Youth Reporter Devishi Jain interview Ekta Jain, owner of Ekta Dance Academy. Ekta has been teaching dance for over 17 years and is well known to the ISW community.

Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your background in dance?
My name is Ekta Jain and I am from Delhi, India. I started my dance journey when I was ten years old. I joined Kathak classes in Lucknow Gharana as a hobby, but soon, it became my passion in life. Read the rest of the interview and her advice to young dancers on our website.

Professional & Entrepreneurial Network Meetup

The new ISW Professional & Entrepreneurial Network Initiative was kicked off a few weeks ago with a brainstorming session among a small group of interested professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders that generated nearly a dozen topics and over a hundred suggestions for activities that the group could carry out. The next step was to actively engage interested members from the ISW and MetroWest communities to help prioritize and select a few core activities to start. We will hold the first meeting on June 12th at the new ISW India Center and look forward to seeing many of you to help launch this new initiative. It is open to all interested in these topics. Please register here.
